Brilliant guide, although I feel it really is too gold-heavy for most players.

Have you tried a less gold-heavy approach during your time playing? I'd be interested to hear how you went about playing that time and how it went.

Very good guide. This is very similar to how creamy and I started on aux except for the high level market. Although we did ✄✄✄✄✄ a fair whack of gold on NPC anyway.

Only thing I would do different is being a little more aggressive. Raiding sucks as a non teut, but if you can p0wn a few of those early on you can raid a bit easier, as well as get some shiny medals if you attack everyone in the top 10 robbers

    RIP Mathy. Forever loved!

I've not played it with less gold, but i'm sure it could be adapted somehow.

We play a similar, slightly less expensive version as Romans (we take far less trades on the marketplace and try to hold off on NPCing by having slightly high warehouse and granary levels), but we take a more aggressive approach like meatbag suggested, given that legs and EIs make for wonderful follow homes.

I certainly like the guide for Gauls though, it's a perfect example to use as an argument against people who claim that Guals can't be aggressive players.

Oh don't get me wrong, This is to be used fairly aggressively, I only mean don't attack the large teutons until you have a Hero and are confident of the outcome. There have been many a red ribbon on my profile over the years.

Could you make a "poor man's" edition of the guide?
