    Same second attacks on Macs

Just as a note to this for Mac users ...

The same second attacks method doesn't work very well on Macs, as OS X has a scrolling animation for confirmation boxes. While pretty, this means you can only get a couple of waves a second.

To speed up the animation, and get many more waves per second, adjust the settings as below:

Go into the Terminal (in Applications/Utilities). Enter:

    defaults write NSGlobalDomain NSWindowResizeTime .001

To go back to the default animation speed, enter:

    defaults delete NSGlobalDomain NSWindowResizeTime

(or set the time to 0.2, which is the default value)

Brockwell, I love you! I've been looking for that info for - well, since I sent my first ever waved attack, nearly two years ago. That damn Mac slidey-animation has been the only reason I've ever had to log into Windows for the last year or so..........

(Darn - now I'm going to have to start playing yet again to try this out!)

Why, you're welcome aesculpian - glad someone else might find this useful, especially if it tempts you back to experiment

Incidentally, I haven't tried it myself, but the site where I found the code (here) suggests you can change the speed for a specific application - i.e. by entering com.apple.Firefox instead of NSGlobalDomain

I don't know if it was already said, but you can practice by send reinforcements to your own villages. Someone im playing with got up to 17 waves in a second i think lol

17 is bit off really lol, but i didnt know that VVV, about T4 restricts it to a max of 4.But it is good give more chance to defenders and not top of the ranch internet connections.

I think 6 would have been better, that allows a one pass croplock.

yeah, need at least 6 for 6c , but this gave more action to game and more chance to defense

Pretty sure this isn't accurate. I've seen more than 4 cat waves on the same second from the same village. A lot depends on you computer and internet connection, and of course how un-cooperative travians servers feel like being.

    Re: Same second attacks

It is accurate at 4 waves unless there's problem with the server on T4. It's hard coded in. Earlier servers you could get lots more.

I don't think it's such a bad thing TBH. Now it takes coordination and skill to zero a village in one hit. Well, if they know how to defend anyway. You can't do it alone and you need good connections and timings with your mates. The connection quality leaves me out, but as a deffer, I usually have enough cats to do some damage, just not enough hammer to clear, so if my O-Bunny clears with 4 waves and I land same second with 4, then another hammer lands (maybe even a few seconds later) it's pretty effective.

So, with 4 waves, providing the server is not playing up, you need decent mini clears on every lag break. Doable, just takes more grunt and more gonads.

It also means there is a bigger reason to fake wave. That is send 30 waves each with 4 same sec over 9 secs and let them guess how many are up-front fakes. Maybe 4, maybe 16, maybe none?
